DESCRIPTION:Attention Treasure Hunters\nJoin us to hunt for Megalodon teeth and other fossils!\nWhat to Expect: 3 Exciting Days with “Fossil Junkies” searching for all kinds of fossils including our favorite\,\nMEGALODON teeth\nDay 1\, October 31st: \nTravel Day\, check into hotel\, enjoy the amenities\, eat some dinner\, and get ready to go Fossil Diving! \nDays 2-4\, November 1st-3rd: \nWe will board a Fossil Junkies’ Dive Boat each day for 3 tank dives for 3 days! The charter crew will\nhelp set up our gear and provide us with tips on how to search for all kinds of fossils including the highly sought after MEGALODON tooth and other fossils such as: Colombian mammoth teeth; whale vertebrae; mastodon teeth; turtle shell; bison\, horse\, and camel teeth; dire wolf teeth; and more! \nDay 5\, November 4th:\nWake up early for a good parking spot to check out the “3rd Annual Shark Tooth Festival” in downtown\nVenice\, then Fly home that afternoon. \n \nFAQ’S:\n1. What is the average depth of a fossil dive?           \nMost dives are typically around 28-30 feet.  \n2. Is there a bottom time limit?\nNo\, there is no limit to bottom time. Divers can dive until they reach 500PSI. Since everyone has different\nbottom times\, dives can last anywhere between 1 to 2+ hours. \n3. Is this a guided dive?\nNo\, it is not a guided dive. While on the boat they will give an overview of each specific dive site\, provide maps\, and answer any questions that we may have. We will also review navigation skills with you before the dive if needed. \n4. Do I need a Florida Fossil Permit?\nNo\, you do not need your own fossil permit. All the finds on the boat are covered under their permit. \n5. What is the visibility like?\nThis is a low visibility dive. The average visibility for fossil dives in Venice is 6-10ft. Some days visibility is 20+ feet and some days it is less. They do not dive when the visibility is less than 3-5ft. \n6. What is the water temperature in November?\nThe water temp in November is around 70-75 degrees. We suggest a 5-7mm wetsuit based on your cold tolerance. \nIncluded:\n\n3 days of 3 tank dives (3 dives per day)\nHotel accommodations for 5 days and 4 nights\nTanks and weights\nFossil collection bags\nDrinks and snacks provided on the boat\n\nNot Included:\n\nAirfare\nCar rental\nMeals\nDAN Dive Insurance\n\n\nPayment Information:\n\nA deposit is due upon booking (non-refundable)\nRemaining balance due by October 1st\, 2026
